City of Tahlequah

ICE STORM BRUSH REMOVAL INFORMATION

The City of Tahlequah is split up into four wards.  There has been a brush crew assigned to each ward.   The brush crew will work, clearing the brush that is placed at the curb.  After the crew works their way through their assigned ward street by street, they will start back at the beginning and go through the ward again in the same manner at which they did the first time, gathering the brush that has been stacked curbside.

It is requested by Mike Corn, Street Commissioner, that brush be stacked clear of any obstructions that could be damaged in the process of the removal, for example, fences.  It also should not be stacked next to mailboxes which could be damaged or otherwise hinder the delivery of mail.

All contractors paid to clean up brush from residential yards or commercial locations are responsible for hauling the brush away.

All contract tree services are required to obtain an Itinerant License from City Hall or they will be fined.

Due to the large volume of brush in the City we would like to ask the residents to please be patient with us while our crews work diligently to beautify our City.

Thank You, Mike Corn
Street Commissioner
